The MaxRecall applications themselves don’t use the spooler service so disabling the print spooler service wouldn’t interfere with the applications running. But if you have an auto-print task scheduled in MaxRecall then that might not work; same goes for users printing out of MaxRecall. But the problem wouldn’t be in the applications it would just be that there’s nothing to manage/handle what the applications are trying to hand off to the print system in the OS.
Not very many of our customers have auto-print tasks running so odds are you don’t but you can check in MaxRecall Administration, Misc Processes, Auto Print.
Printers aren’t configured in MaxRecall like they are with some of the ERP applications. The MaxRecall applications just see whatever printers are available on the machine to the user that’s running the application; just like if they were to try to print from applications like Word, or Notepad.
So, you could turn off the service then try to print something from MaxRecall and see what happens and decide if it’s a problem or not but if it is then the solution would be something in the printer config in the OS, not MaxRecall.
